Just to clarify, the article is excellent.
I was challenged recently that the IPCC reports are apolitical and without a prior agenda, therefore should not be viewed with presuppositional suspicion. Having thought about it, though they are not party-political, there is an obvious presuppositional agenda: climate change is a brilliant justification for the existence and increasing bloatedness of supra-national bodies like the UN and EU. After all, they're the only ones who can save the world!
